Overview

Polyvine Tropical Scumble is a transparent acrylic glaze ideal for decorative effects with a working time of 1 hour in temperatures above 21°C, or in lower temperatures where a longer working time is required. It dries to a durable water-resistant finish on a wide range of interior and exterior surfaces. It's ideal for creating effects such as colour washing, dragging, graining, marbling, stippling and leather effects.

Preparation

Ensure the surface to be coated is clean and free from grease, wax or polish and completely cured.

• When applied over emulsion/latex paint, it is possible that Scumble can draw certain stains through the paint, which were not otherwise be visible. In this case a stain sealer should be used.

Application

Always test the product on the surface to be painted before embarking on the project to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the container

• Porous surfaces should be primed with Decorators Varnish diluted 10% with water, prior to application.
• Apply a base coat of either Vinyl Silk Emulsion, Satin Latex or a Acrylic Semi Gloss/ Eggshell and allow to dry for 24 hours.
• Ensure the Scumble is well mixed and apply using a brush or roller.
• Colour the Scumble with and mix thoroughly.
• Apply liberally over the base coat and create the desired decorative effect.
• Allow to dry for 24 hours.

Tip: Protect with Interior Exterior Polyvine Decorators Varnish satin/dead flat.

Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application.
